Atlanta Life : Krog St. Market
I’m back with another post for my Atlanta Life segment on the blog! This category is easily my favorite because I am a visual person (with a hint of auditory, because I don’t need silence to concentrate like most visual learners). What better place to utilize my enhanced sense of vision than at a market place? Krog St. Market to be exact!
As you might remember from a previous blog post that I wrote, The Beltline, Krog St. Market is located at 99 Krog St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30307. It sits on one end of The Beltline, with Ponce City Market sitting on the opposite end.
Krog St. Market is a marketplace that has food, drinks, and a splash of retail.

Let’s start where I always start when I get here, Fred’s Meat and Bread. I usually get the Shroom Shire Cheesesteak, but I was on a diet, so I settled for the mini-cheeseburger. Ha!
This cheeseburger is phenomenal! For some reason the shredded lettuce makes all the difference in the world. The edges around the circumference of the bun are slightly crispy, but not overdone. Literally Perfect!
After my poor excuse for a diet, I walked past a new business that I’ve never seen before,Xocoatl.

Xocoatl is a small batch chocolate micro-factory. How cool is that? Wondering what that is exactly? This basically means all of the chocolate they sell is made right there on sight. They even offer tours and tasting, click the link here to check out the schedule and how to sign up.
Right around the corner is a super cool pizza eatery where you watch them make the pizza right in front of you with all fresh ingredients. The pizza eatery is called Varuni Napoli. I’ve tried the food here before on a different occasion and it was awesome!
I got a chance to witness one of the chef’s making the meatballs by hand for their ‘Nonna Mia’ pizza, which includes: Fresh buffalo mozzarella, San Marzano ragu, Nonna’s homemade meatballs, Pecorino Romano and basil. In addition to my pics, here’s an awesome clip I got for you all:

After you grab some food, there’s my favorite ice cream place, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. I haven’t been to this location in quite some time because of their new location in Alpharetta, which is much closer to my house.

Now, I did mention that there’s retail here too. There’s a store, The Merchant that’s detached but still on the Krog St. Market property. I can easily spend an hour in here and I hate shopping.
