Recipe: Some damn good chili
I cook almost everyday, but you wouldn’t know it because I don’t post them often to my blog. My reasoning for not posting more recipes is because I rarely measure anything and that makes it tough to explain to someone else HOW to make something. However, I made it a point to measure everything so that I can share my chili recipe with you all because it IS THAT good, damn good.
What you’ll need
2 Garlic cloves
1 (15 oz.) can of Kidney beans, dark red
1 Red bell pepper, medium/large
1 Bag of steamed corn
1 (28 oz.) can of crushed tomatoes
1 cup of chicken broth
1 pound of lean turkey meat
2 tsp of olive oil
Seasonings (to your liking):
Cayenne pepper, onion powder, cumin (ground), salt, pepper and chili powder
*Extra* cheese, cornbread and blue corn tortilla chips (pictured)
Here’s a set of very simple instructions:
-
Cook turkey in skillet
-
In saucepan, put in all other ingredients
-
Warm up corn in microwave
-
Mix cooked turkey and corn into saucepan
